I started off April with a great wedding on Balboa Island.  I absolutely LOVE the area and have always wanted to shoot in the little church on the island.  St. John Vianney did not disappoint, it was an amazing little church and the inside was just as beautiful as the beach outside!  I spent the entire day with Robyn and Don, who celebrated their April nuptials with family from all over the US.  The weather was beautiful and so was the bride (and groom, of course!).  It’s amazing to see a couple go from the nervous-ness of the beginning of the day to the emotional and ear-to-ear happiness of the ceremony to the pure all-out fun of the reception!  Thanks Robyn & Don for sharing the day with me…I was nervous for you, happy for you, and rocking out with you all day long.  You two make me smile…

What do you want to be when you grow up Katie?  A gymnast. When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a ballerina.  I loved pretending I was a professional ballerina, in my little pink ballet shoes and the matching tutu.  Today, Katie wanted to pretend to be Alice in Wonderland…and we made it happen.  She is an amazing, little girl and when the camera was turned on her, she was instantly a pro – not one bit camera shy!  Little girls like Katie, who like to play dress up and have big dreams, are inspirations to me, every single day.  Thanks Katie, for taking me back.
