Last weekend, I spent a fun Sunday with Carly and Kurt, at The Reef Restaurant in Long Beach.  The best part of Carly and Kurt’s wedding was meeting their closest family and friends – they were just as great as Carly and Kurt, and it was clear that they were all here to celebrate with them.  Carly & Kurt are high school sweethearts and they finally made it official.  Check out some of my favorites:

The husband and I traveled to my mother’s home town back in December (I know, I’m behind on blogging the personals!).  We spent two weeks traveling up, down, and around the island.  It’s absolutely beautiful and totally such a sight to see.  We ran across many temples, random HUGE Buddahs in the middle of town, and just your everyday Taiwanese environment.  Needless to say, it was an amazing trip – visiting family (tons of family), scooting around the East Coast on a rented scooter wearing rain gear designed for scooter riders, learning about their subway systems and riding the Bullet Train.  Whew!  Just gets me out of breath just thinking about it again!  Check out a few of our random scenes:

Claudia met Yasha at a wedding…she was working for a catering company and he was one of the guests there.  Six years later, they are planning a wedding in October.  These two are absolutly adorable together…Yasha held Claudia close as they walked along the streets of the Balboa Peninsula early Sunday morning.  You could just see their connection, walking alongside them.  We talked about their wedding, the afternoon Laker game (they are Laker fans!), my appreciation for baseball, and one of my favorite topics…breakfast.  I knew we’d get along instantly.  Claudia did her best to outshine the sorta-coldish weather of the overcast beach town by showing her fierceness!  These two were just neat…nothing gets better than that on Sunday morning engagement session.  See you in October!  Check out some favorites:

I met someone! I remember when my friend Deborah told me that she had met Steven – she was smiling, ear to ear, and couldn’t stop going on about him.  Well, a few years later, she told me that he proposed!  Yesterday afternoon, I had the opportunity of watching my dear friend Deborah walk down the aisle, absolutely beaming and beautiful, to marry her Steven.  An intimate occasion, Deborah and Steven’s closest friends stood by and watched as they took their vows, exchanged rings, said I do, and kissed as husband and wife.  It was such happiness, I couldn’t contain myself.  Congratulations Deborah and Steven…may there be lots of love, laughs, and friendship forever.  Here are a few of my favorites:

Sometimes, you just need a change of scenery.  Before you know it, the weekends are filled with weddings, family portraits, kids, babies, and engagement sessions, in Orange County to LA County and sometimes San Diego County.  When is there time to just fit in a photo session for fun?  I hardly ever get the chance to just photograph for fun, so when I got an email from my friend Doug McNamee about a photo workshop he was putting together with his friend Henry Wang, I figured I’d take on the adventure and check it out.  A few weeks ago, I met a bunch of fabulous people – the workshop was a lot of fun!  The models were great and made looking beautful look so easy and everyone else was just as cool…I had a great time checking things out, making friends, cracking jokes, laughing loudly, and in the end, working on what I love to do…check out some faves from the day.
