Remember Nathan, the cutest little cover winner a few blog posts back?  I got to work with him for the November cover of Parenting Orange County Magazine and here’s what the magazine chose for their cover image.  It’s just a little sneak peek…the November issue doesn’t hit the stands until next week so for now…check it out!

Can you believe that it’s that time again?  Wedding season is officially winding down and miraculously, my schedule is slowing down (a little bit).  I’ve had a fantabulous wedding season, with the most awesome couples!  I’ve also met a few families, seniors and re-connected with some past clients along the way.  It’s been an amazing photography season but it’s not over yet!  With the transition out of weddings and the holidays coming along quickly…that only means one thing...family and portrait sessions for the holiday season!!!  And with this coming shift of photography muses comes a limited time only Holiday Portrait Special!!!  Check it out…and book ASAP as sessions are limited!!

Last weekend, I made the trip down to San Diego, to spend some time with Andrea and Nathan.  They had been planning their wedding from Las Vegas for the last ten months and the day had finally arrived.  Saturday couldn’t have been more perfect at the Catamaran Resort Hotel and the weather was amazing; a perfect and sunny California wedding day.  I can definitely understand why these two chose San Diego, plus it held a special meaning for Andrea, who moved there a few years back and absolutely loved it.  The other most awesome thing about Andrea and Nathan?  They gave me one hour of family photos before the ceremony and allotted two full hours of photos for the wedding party and themselves.  I love when my bride & groom plan for photographs, it makes life so much easier and way more fun!

Check out a few faves from the day…

A few weeks ago, the family decided to get together.  Well, we decided a few months ago but a few weeks ago, we got together.  The Lempert crew found themselves at Zion National Park for a weekend filled with family fun, a bit of wrestling, and some hiking.  The husband and I drove out the night before Lempert-fest, as we decided that bright Friday morning, we would be hiking Angels Landing, one of Zion National Park‘s most popular (and scarier) hikes.

Friday morning, we woke up in St. George, a quaint little town that I wish we could have spent a bit more time in.  Our hike was awaiting, so we got to Zion National Park, jumped on the shuttle & in a few minutes were dropped off at the trail marker.  The first part of the hike wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, but when we started the ascend up to Angels Landing, I’d have to say that my fear of heights got the best of me.  Wanting to turn back and wait for the hubby to finish, he convinced me to keep on as he believed that I would regret not getting to the top.  And an hour or so later…we got to the top…check out some of the photos taken by me and some by the oh-so-talented husband o’mine…

Don’t let the smile fool you here…we were about half-way up the ascent and I almost cried a few seconds before this photo was taken…

And shortly after…we made it to the top!  I would definitely recommend this hike to all of you out there but be forewarned!  It is not a lie when they tell you it’s not recommended for people with an intense fear of heights!

After the Angels Landing hike, we met up with the rest of the family at the Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort.  There, we made camp by putting up our tent & settling in, while Mom & Dad Lempert made themselves comfy in their Cowboy Cabin and Heidi and family were nestled comfortably in their RV.  I was looking forward to a good weekend of hiking and hi-jinx with the kids.  Here are a few photos of Saturday & Sunday…

On our way home…there were deer alongside the road, but by the time we whipped the camera out, we only managed to get a small peek at them…

A great weekend with great memories!  More Lempert Family Adventures to come…cheers!

As wedding season slowly comes to an end this year, I really get to enjoy the off-wedding season by using this time to do holiday family photos and kid sessions!!!  It has definitely been the week of cute babies for me.  Today, I spent a few hours with Nathan at the Heritage Museum of Orange County.  Nathan, 9 months, was all about dancing through his entire session (and eating leaves, but what 9 month old boy doesn’t like eating leaves??).  Nathan is being photographed for the cover of Parenting Orange County Magazine, hitting the stands in a few weeks!  So, here are a few sneak peeks of Nathan in his debut magazine cover model role.  Check back in a few weeks to find out which photo of Nathan made the cover!  Believe me, he worked it for the camera…you’d think he was born to do this.

Here are a few teaser pics…

Meet Curran.  He is five weeks old and absolutely adorable.  I was lucky enough to spend some time with Curran and his amazing parents last night.  Curran managed to give me a few minutes of wide-eyed attention and then went back to his sweet little baby dreams.  In Gaelic, Curran means “my hero” which is absolutely fitting for this little guy.  He’s got big surf dreams, yes he does.  Mom, a synchronized swimmer and Dad, a Newport Beach lifeguard, Curran is destined to be water bound!  Check out Curran’s first Halloween costume and his shout out to his dad!!  I am lucky to have met Curran and do look forward to watching him become a little surfer dude!  Congrats to Mom and Dad!

Check out a few of the favorites…
