irvine family portrait: the chico-loza family

I’ve known Greg and Jessica for quite some time now.  Greg and Jessica, a few years back, graciously agreed to pose for me, for a few beach side portraits.  Greg, a fellow photographer and friend, is an amazing creative and both him and Jessica are recent new parents!  So, when I found out that they had a baby boy named Dylan, I had to ask them again to graciously pose for me.  And as awesomeness would have it, they said yes.

I was a bunch of nerves before we met up.  What are they going to think of the photos?  Like I’ve said before, it’s always harder to shoot for a fellow photographer AND they’re friends!!  The pressure’s on!!  The one thing about Greg and Jessica though – they are so great in front of the camera.  And new baby, Dylan?  He takes after his parents – a major camera lover.  The shoot went off without a hitch and it really challenged me to do something a little more creative and different.  Greg & Jess, I hope you enjoy them!!  Dylan is such a bundle of stud-muffin cuteness, I’m looking forward to watching him grow up.  Love you guys.

connecticut wedding: lauren and rich

Three years ago, it began with Nicole and Oliver.  Jackie and Ben followed suit last year, 2010.  And last weekend, Lauren and Rich.  These are the Flory siblings – three of four weddings that Katie Robertson and I have photographed together.  I am a lucky girl to work with such an amazing friend and a very talented photographer.  We drove into Connecticut, said hello to all the familiar faces and got to work.  See Katie’s version of Lauren and Rich’s wedding here.

Lauren and Rich celebrated their love at the Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill Estate in Middletown, Connecticut.  They were surrounded by such amazing family and friends, I immediately knew that this was going to be such a great time.  Lauren was gorgeous in her a-line wedding dress and rockin’ bow, while Rich looked quite dapper in his suit and pin-striped tie.  The navy & green color scheme was the perfect match to the backdrop of the mansion.  Lauren and her girls were a riot, baring the hot and humid temperatures, and looking amazing to boot.  Rich and his groomsmen, including brothers Ben and Matt and friends, were the epitome of East Coast handsome, cracking jokes, that even had me laughing a bit.

And to Lauren and Rich:  thank you SO much for sharing such an amazing day with me, you two are made for each other!  May there be marriage bliss and adventure.  Cheers to you!

Some amazing details…
